McCain, Obama take Mississippi

March 11th, 2008 10:08 pm by Chester Lunt ·

In twin results which were not at all surprising, both John McCain and Barack Obama have won in Mississippi in today’s primary. Obama was heavily favored in the state over Clinton, who more or less had conceded the state already and had moved her focus towards ensuring a win in Pennsylvania. She currently leads the state by a 14 point margin - 49-35%, though the primary is quite a ways away as it will occur on April 14th. Regardless, Obama won today with 55% of the vote to 35% for Clinton.

On the Republican side, McCain won in Mississippi with 79% of the vote, and Ron Paul finished with 4%.
