The Freedom Rally in Washington DC is still ongoing currently, and rprradio.com is reporting that over 1,000 people are attending the events, with the crowd continuing to grow. Ron Paul spoke briefly earlier in the day, and several other guest speakers, such as Russel Means, have already spoken as well. Additionally, there have been musical performances throughout the day, which will continue.
The rally is being broadcast live on rprradio.com for those who are unable to attend in person. It was also reported by rprradio that the entire event is being filmed professionally, and will be available for viewing at a later date online.

1,000? I think you had a misprint. We were told there would be tens of thousands showing up as proof of the power of the rEVOLution. You may want to fix that typo. If the media gets ahold of that and then finds all our predictions, we will be the laughing stock. More than 1,000 people showed up a few months ago for a march against circumcision .
2 Caulfield // Apr 15, 2008 at 1:59 pm
Ha ha, you suckers.. I heard it was three hundred people. 1,000 would definitely be an exaggeration.
3 ghemminger // Apr 15, 2008 at 2:40 pm
300, LOL.. the REVOlution is bullshit. I’ve been bullshitting over on several paul forums for a year and discovered half the people there are just as bogus. People need to wake up and realize it is all bogus and just a plaything.
4 Chester Lunt // Apr 15, 2008 at 2:46 pm
Caulfield, that is quite possible; the only information I had to go off was that which was reported on rprradio.com.
And TXLinda, the event being held today is not the “Revolution March” planned for the summer. That one I think has more support behind it, and this one never really caught on due to it being scheduled during a rather questionable time. Not only was it sort of on short notice, but it’s at a time when many are still in college and unable to attend anyways.
5 Dan // Apr 15, 2008 at 3:47 pm
This march was doomed to failure. Hopefully with this jackassery out of the way, we can now focus on the true march in June.
Oh and ghemminger, good riddance to you.
6 ghemminger // Apr 15, 2008 at 3:49 pm
FU Dan. I know you had me banned at the Ron Paul Forums, I don’t care. I am sick of that account anyway. Now you just have to guess what my other three accounts over there are.

ghemminger=Nick Farr?
8 ghemminger // Apr 15, 2008 at 3:51 pm
Me thinks you haven’t seen the last of me.
9 RC // Apr 15, 2008 at 3:57 pm
Well, GHemminger, I guess the best thing going for you is that you’ve presented yourself as such a good troll that nobody could pick you out.
Sad thing is, I got the axe there and I really DID care. And then, I got asked back by some mod emailing me with a “all is forgiven, just try to be less negative”, and then got nailed there AGAIN.
You’ve done more to hurt the cause than any real “troll” can. I suppose by now I’m so bitter that I wish you the best of luck in embarrassing them, and I hope you use different styles to really screw them over.
10 ghemminger // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:04 pm
My point is just to point out how bogus this rEVOLution is. All the Paul sheep created a fake world for themselves. They spam the heck out of polls to make the movement look bigger than it is, then think it is a conspiracy when they only get five percent of the votes.
The most fun has been making them think they can actually stack the state conventions. They actually believe they can go against the ninty-five percent of voters who rejected the Paullution.
But the fun will continue. I have several more accounts over there and on DailyPaul. A couple of grassroots leaders actually think I am helping them.
11 RC // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:08 pm
The sad thing was, G, I really believed in this, but was a “realist.” That got me called a Defeatist. How’d you , a liar, stay alive so long?
How can those of us who really do care compete? Is it a “more flies with honey” type methodology or something? Were people that willing to listen to dreamland bull over realism?
I guess they were. Hell, you got banned for posting something that’s in the phone book
12 ghemminger // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:13 pm
How did I stay alive? By parroting the nuttitest conspiracy theories. I fit right in. I imagined what a paranoid schizophrenic would say and posted that. It worked.
13 RC // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:15 pm
Incredible
So when the troll calling was going on, did you take part in calling for bans? Or did you not? I noticed you had more influence than most.. was that by playing off other people’s paranoid conspiracy theories? Would I have gotten further in my attempts to support Ron Paul with my ideas had I mixed in a bit of the crazy?
14 ghemminger // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:17 pm
;->
Who do you think did a lot of calling?
Just say, I helped you if you really wanted to support him. Instead of hanging out with paranoid net nuts, you were ‘freed’ from that cabal and then could get out in the real world and take part in life, not virtual life.
15 Chester Lunt // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:18 pm
I would have to say that if you are attempting to describe everyone who supports Ron Paul, your characterization is a bit off. I get pretty annoyed by the people who think that there is vote fraud - the reality is that people voted for other candidates. I think there can be a legitimate debate about why this was, but not over the legitimacy of the elections themselves.
And I think you are misreading the general attitude people have towards the collecting of delegates. Most people recognize that winning is extremely unlikely, but also see the benefit of getting as many delegates as possible nonetheless, whether it simply be to send a message, or to change party platform. There are many state conventions to go, mine included, and I intend to attend it and try to help get my state GOP to stand for civil liberties and limited government.
16 ghemminger // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:19 pm
” but also see the benefit of getting as many delegates as possible”
Yeppers, the next step is to get people to think they can get enough delegates to prevent McCain from having enough. Even that’s a long shot, but they just need to think it’s possible.
17 RC // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:23 pm
*laughs*
Nicely played, then.
I have to admit, the one thing that has me most annoyed is that I came into this thing in October of last year, and my Meetup group was full of Jewhaters. So I left that, and found another group, which was full of 9/11 Truthers. And then I founded my own meetup group, and nobody would come because I asked that people leave the jewhating and the 9/11 Truthing at the door and focused on what was on the website.
After people wouldn’t do that, I figured I’d find something online that would be more realistic. In the end, though, it was the same old stuff, and they still didn’t want anything to do with me.
And yet you got banned because you went to whitepages.com and searched for “Ronald Paul.”
Absolutely stunning.
The end result is now I will not help, vote, or anything for Ron Paul. They chased off the sincere guy, and kept the troll.
18 Dan // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:25 pm
1. I did not have you banned. I have no power whatsoever on that site. No pull. Nothing. I just post there every now-and-then and am pretty obscure.
2. Do you have the slightest inkling to how big of a loser you sound? It’s a frickin’ messageboard, with a group of people who support a political candidate who many thought in May 2007 would get Duncan Hunter-level support (1/2 of 1%). Talking about your multiple accounts there and your thousands and thousands of posts doesn’t make you seem cool.
Oh well. Do what you want. It has no real or noticeable effect on anything.
19 ghemminger // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:27 pm
The real troll is who is running for President. Here is a challenge for you, go look at what happened in 1988, ask yourself what happened to the $140K that was never recovered from the embezzlement scandal. Their little scapegoat paid up $14K, pretty good ROI (90%).
20 Dan // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:29 pm
P.S.: ghemminger, you can stop having a fake conversation with yourself under the “RC” name. Or he this guy is actually real, then RC needs to pull his head out of ghemminger’s ass. Yeesh.
21 RC // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:34 pm
Chester, Well, when you look back at this campaign, you see a lot of people taking advantage of others, stealing money, making chip-ins to take their money.. and anyone who said so was called a “defeatist.”
We had a campaign that was poorly run, by a guy who never wanted to win, for a core staff that was paid as well as or better than John McCain’s.
I think the main thing is that Dr. Paul needed to say something about this type of supporters.. and never, ever did. From the newsletters to Stormfront to everything else.. he said nothing. Yet, people would jump on McCain, or Huckabee, or Obama, or Clinton for the exact same type of “comments” and “fans.”
The common US citizen would LOVE the Freedom movement.. but they need someone who can lead it.. not someone who can’t. Ron Paul can’t. It was obvious to me when the Grassroots treated people who doubted the campaign like crap (and in some cases, banned us).
In time, we’ll learn that this campaign was about the almighty dollar, and maybe it wasn’t Dr. Paul that profited off it.. but he certainly sat back and watched. Wait until someone really looks at the FEC numbers.
22 RC // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:35 pm
Dan,
I’m a real guy. I went by “Redcard” on the forums.
Chester can verify the IP addresses are different.
23 RC // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:37 pm
And what do you mean pull my head out of his ass? He had everyone there eating out of his palm ,and if I’m right about who his other accounts are, you guys have been following his lead for a LONG LONG time.
I want to know how I can avoid being the one crapped on in the future. Why not learn from someone who’s been gaming you guys all along?
24 Chester Lunt // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:45 pm
Well, people have been talking about that sort of stuff for quite a while - campaign incompetence, etc. There were a lot of lessons learned about running a campaign, and perhaps politics in general. I am hopeful that people will use it as a learning experience, and apply what they learned in their future efforts. There is always room for improvement, and this case is no different.
25 Dan // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:47 pm
Please. This guy’s blowing his usual self-important hot air. He’s full of it.
From what I’ve seen, hardly anyone has taken ghemminger seriously any time recently. Everything he said, everything he posted got responses of “leave” and “why haven’t they banned you yet?” Dude was a joke, kept around for laughs.
I’m sure he’s got other accounts, saying no-doubt stupid stuff. But so what? His posts have no real effect of any grassroots efforts. People will/will not attend state conventions or marches regardless. All they’re good for is some cheap laughs for a guy who really needs to be a little less pathetic.
26 dlist // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:47 pm
I am glad both of you nut balls (RC and ghemminger) got banned. George did the most damage to the campaign with his lies about the billionaire and the “big secret”.
I also heard George started to go insane after his wife and 4 children left him. They probably had to get a restraining order against him.
The march today did not get 1,000 people, my friend went by. It was a failure because the granny warriors are selfish old people who planned for it to be on a Tuesday when those of us not living on social security actually have to go to work or school. Glad its over.
27 RC // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Dlist, don’t you get it?
George isn’t even his real name. He was playing an elaborate joke on you. No wife, no 4 children, no stupid dog. Everything he posted was made up by him. Even the Ron Paul phone number crap was freely publically available. Go to http://www.whitepages.com, Type “Ronald Paul” , search in TX. You’ll see it on the list.
Now, moving up to Dan. You saw only the crazy nutball account. When I tried to warn the mods about George, I warned them that usually the 4chan crowd that does this runs with MULTIPLE accounts that have completely different personalities. And, like I said, if I’m right, you guys are still falling for his stuff, just in a different style.
That’s my point. That stupid freaking forum went around banning people who said the slightest thing about making things really work.. and left people like GHemminger and his other three alts around.
28 Dan // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:58 pm
Come on. Damage? It’s a thread on an internet forum. I think you’re a wee bit exaggerating the effects. A lot of people didn’t even believe the billionaire thing when it was first posted if I remember correcty.
As for the rest, amen. The granny-panty warriors are the ones having the real negative effect. I appreciate some of what they’ve done, but this march was a disaster and many knew it from the time it was first announced. Hopefully it won’t stunt the turnout of the real march in the summer of this year.
29 The Voice From Above // Apr 15, 2008 at 4:59 pm
Just to clear the confusion:
-ghemminger on RPF = real guy
-RC = Redcard, someone who trolled RPF and bragged on Wonkette
-ghemminger here = RC, using a proxy. It is not hard to fake different IP addresses.
RC/Redcard is attempting to sow the seeds of faction by posing as ghemminger here.
There. Continue.
30 RC // Apr 15, 2008 at 5:02 pm
And that’s my point, Dan.
If we believe what we see NOW, on those forums..
Supposedly…
The Blimp was one massive fraud , that’s getting discovered. Liberty Racing\Ron Paul Racing was a fraud. The Granny Warriors are now supposedly frauds.
The list goes on and on of things that were at one time Fundraising on that very site, with widgets at the top, chipins, and everything else. ANYONE who said anything different was a COINTELPRO troll who must have zionist tendencies. That chased people away.
Now, you’re discovering that all this entire campaign was successful at was shifting money from one set of pockets to another, and you’re upset about it.
So.. exaggerating the effects? Do you really know how much money can be made by the traffic that hit that forum reading the ads that were there?
31 RC // Apr 15, 2008 at 5:04 pm
I am not posting as Ghemminger here, and I know that someone posted as me on Wonkette. I asked them if I can do something about it, and they said “First come first serve” on the names. It really pisses me off, too, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was someone else trying to make me look bad.
Anyway, Chester can verify that I am not posting from the same IP as GHemminger.

I never really thought Ron had a chance in this election. It was quite apparent from the start that he did not want to be the president.
He ran his campaign like he is running it now, to get a message out.
This wont be the end of the movement, the election was the best way to get his message out to the world…
I mean, if Ron was not running for president, and saying all of these things, would garner any attention? Absolutely not. But when you have a man on stage telling a bunch of dupes how things really are… it gets people thinking….And thats the point… to make people think.

can we really believe anything the media tells us?? the main problem here is that the protest was on a weekday… who can take off of work now that our dollar is worth nothing?? Even the march 19th protest was a decent turn out especially for the weather, but no coverage made it out to be worse than it was…. Not to mention the practice of giving “permits” for protests. It lets the govt pick and choose when, where, and even IF there is a protest at all. As for Paulies “spamming” online polls, many polls that were up (especially ones from news stations, and google had one as well) allowed ONE vote per IP address….. Its too bad Amerika gets its info over “the box” rather than actually looking into it and researching facts. But its just easier to have someone tell you what to think rather than using your brain right???

78 Eric Nordstrom // Apr 16, 2008 at 10:59 am
Oh one more thing…
For those of you who (couldn’t pitch in because it was a weekday):
If this is true, we are doomed as it would seem that taking back our nation and being a true force for freedom can only be accomplished on the weekend.
If it is true, it would seem that this is a revolution of convenience. If we ever end up at the point where it is the State versus the People and actual violence breaks out, when you see the billy clubs swinging, just let them know it is a weekday and that they must wait until the weekend to actually make billy club to head contact.
For those of you who actually got off your butts and went out into the streets and did something REAL. God bless you all.

Guys. First, wanan thank Eric Nordstrom for being a true fighter for the Ron Paul cause. And about all the 4chan infiltration trolling. There were hundreds of /b/tards from 4chan on those boards constantly. They mods on /b/ stickied pictures of Ron Paul on multiple occasions, even creating a mini meme about him. With the amount of internet support he had, it is only natural that it would attract trolls, and the most obvious trolls 4channers. And BTW, I believe ghemminger is full of shit. He sounded so legit in the beginning while he was a DJ on ron paul radio. I think the more the community ostracized him the more he became a troll to this point where he is denying ever being part of the revolution. He didnt do much damage anyway, except piss a few people off while most of the community ignored him.
